In WA and CA, I accept Aetna, Regence Blue Shield of WA, Premera, United Healthcare, Quest, Oxford, Oscar, BCBS of Massachusetts/New Jersey (virtual), Heritage, Premera, and Kaiser OON. You can reach out and we can determine if I can accept your insurance. Out-of-pocket sessions start at $200/hr. If you are experiencing financial hardship or unable to afford the full cost, sliding scale may be available. My cost of service is higher because I provide additional support between sessions via phone calls and texts without extra charges. I believe in a higher level of quality care in and between sessions.
Late cancellations (<24hr) or no shows will be charged $75.
I have worked with individuals who have symptoms or difficulty with dissociative symptoms, gender identity, PTSD, schizophrenia spectrum disorders and psychosis, borderline personality disorder and other "Cluster B personality disorders", adjustment disorders, self-esteem, substance use disorders, relationship struggles, anger management, poverty/societal/cultural issues, and many other symptoms. The best way to see if I'm able to support you and if we are a good fit, is to contact me and let me know what you're look for support with.
Therapy can be intimidating. I have found the most success with patients and clients in connecting on a more humanistic and casual therapeutic style. My approach often times involves guiding people with making decisions based on values, boundaries, and self-awareness.
I incorporate different styles of therapeutic modalities such as Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Action and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family System (IFS), Strengths Based, Humanistic, and/or Solution focused to work with you to create Individualized goals.
I received my bachelor's in psychology in 2013 and my master's in social work in 2016. I interned in a community housing program and LGBTQ focused inpatient drug rehabilitation center. I’ve worked as an outreach therapist, providing therapy, case management, juvenile and jail services, and assisted in daily living skills. I’ve been an intensive outpatient therapist and case manager for individuals on Least Restrictive Alternatives (LRA) and those with severe and chronic mental illnesses. I’ve spent the last few years as a clinical social worker at a state psychiatric hospital. I was brought on to work on a specialized ward for violent patients and then as a hospital consultant for violent and challenging patients. I have experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
I believe in transparency. I have been through the system and experienced it firsthand. I am also publicly transparent that I am involved in the Kink and Queer communities.
Dments for receiving FMLA or ESA letters. One time assessments and letters are $200 (sliding fee available)
Due to the current political climate, I am offering free or donation-of-your-choice based gender affirming care letters. I can write letters for both Wa and CA folks.
At this time, I am working mostly through Telehealth and do not have an office location. I provide Telehealth to WA and CA clients.
I do not prescribe medications, but I am familiarized with psychotropic medications, side effects, and navigating medication management through psychiatrists and primary care doctors. It is sometimes difficult to communicate with a prescriber. I am available to coordinate care with medication and medical care providers.
I suggest contacting QueerDocs or seeking psychiatrists on TherapyDen.
